Huthwaite Scouts has a container where it stores its kit (tents etc) at a local business. Thet company where it is stored has recently been taken over and they have asked us to remove it by the end of Feb. So we are seeking alternative accommodation for the container.† Ideally we would prefer the location to be in Ashfield and west side of Mansfield.† Anyone that can help please contact Nick Stanley on 07917 479379 or click the link for further information flyer for container

Hello Nick
This request was brought to my attention by Regeneration at Mansfield District Council. I have passed this on to my colleague in Regeneration at Ashfield District Council who will look into any support available. I will also pass this on to our Estates section to see if they have anything available and will forward through the Regeneration Manger to our Sutton/Huthwaite Councillors to see if there is anything they can support you with.
kind regards
Sarah Patrick

Thanks Sarah

Nick
Please confirm the dimensions of the container. We may be able to help.
Kind regards

Thanks Andrew.
The container is 24ft x 9ft. Below is a copy of some of the requirements that we put out in a flyer at the start of Feb.
“Vehicle (transit) and weekend access required (by arrangement if needed) would be required, but no electric supply needed. This is for storage only and therefore no scouting activities would be taking place within the unit, unless this is permissible. We would sort our own insurance and transport cost for the unit.
We will consider anything but long term would be beneficial.”
We have had to relocate the container to Storage City in Huthwaite as we ran out of time to find somewhere that could support us on a FOC basis. So although they are doing us a deal at a significant discount, it is still taking away monies that could be used to support the children in their activities.
