Mansfield & Ashfield 2020 together we mean business
Friday the 29th April saw Mansfield based TIS crowned Business of the Year at the Mansfield 2020 Business Awards. Now in its 10th year the business awards, established by award-winning networking organisation Mansfield 2020, celebrates the incredible local talent we have on our doorstep.
TIS are one of the UK’s leading independent firms of fire, security and communications specialists, supplying commercial and defence markets, the company has been established for over 60 years and is undergoing a restructuring programme to better service their customers. On winning the award, sponsored by Southwell Racecourse, James Twigg, Managing Director for TIS said, ‘it’s been a real period of change for TIS and I’m so proud of what we’ve achieved. It’s thanks to our people and I want to say thank you to them for getting us here, it’s a real honour.’
In a double win for the company Bradley Clifton was also crowned Young Apprentice of the Year.
Other winners on the evening included:
Irvin Robinson, former Chairman of Mansfield 2020, was also honoured with the ‘Outstanding Contribution’ award, highlighting his achievements in business and his ongoing commitment to supporting the local business community.
In a triple celebration for Mansfield 2020 the business club not only celebrated the 10th anniversary of their awards, but also the 25th birthday of the network. Russell Jones, Chairman of Mansfield 2020 said, ‘Mansfield 2020 continues to grow and go from strength to strength, and it’s all thanks to the business community in Mansfield. The awards just go to show the talent we have here, and I’m lucky to be part of such an engaged, resilient and creative group.’
