9th January 2018 - A six figure funding deal from Royal Bank of Scotland has supported successful Mansfield recruitment company, Fresh Start Recruitment, to acquire one of the town’s most iconic buildings to house its growing business.
The firm has acquired Grade II listed property Innisdoon, the former home of Walter Barringer, (one of the founders of Metal Box Company) which has been vacant for the last four years.
The property and its gardens are now set to undergo comprehensive renovation works in order to restore them back to their former glory and will provide an impressive base to house the expanding recruitment company. There are also plans to create four serviced office units within the existing property which will be available to let from June 2018. The offices range from 879sq ft to 441sq ft.
Established in 2004, Fresh Start Recruitment provides both temporary and permanent roles in the industrial, commercial, engineering and food sectors. During its thirteen year history the business has experienced strong growth and today has a turnover of £11.1 million, employing 14 members of staff. Innisdoon is the first property that the recruitment firm has purchased and cements its long term future and commitment to business in the town. The investment will ensure that the business is prepared for future growth and strengthens its long term financial position.
Emma McLaughlin, Director of Fresh Start Recruitment (UK) Limited, said: “We are thrilled to have acquired Innisdoon and can’t wait to relocate our business to the property. Innisdoon is a truly iconic building within the local area and we fell in love with it as soon as we viewed it.
“The property will provide plenty of space for us to house our business and enable us to continue to expand. It also provides us with the opportunity to offer some additional office space to rent, allowing us to share the beautiful property with other businesses in the area.
Stacey Croshaw, Director of Fresh Start Recruitment (UK) Limited, said: “The support we have received for the acquisition from Anna Ellison and the team at the Royal Bank of Scotland has been exemplary. We have worked with Anna for many years and her support has always been excellent. She really understands our plans for the business.”
Anna Ellison, Senior Relationship Manager at Royal Bank of Scotland, said: “I am pleased that we have been able to support Fresh Start Recruitment with the acquisition of their new premises. Emma and Stacey have built up a solid business over the years and it is great to be able to assist them to start this new chapter. Not only will the property provide an excellent base for Fresh Start Recruitment to operate from, but it will also enable them to create a new revenue stream, providing a solid long term investment.”
