Pendragon Training: Driving the mental health agenda in the workplace

Mental Health problems are on the increase. According to MIND, approximately 1 in 4 people in the UK will experience a mental health problem each year. In England, 1 in 6 people report experiencing a common mental health problem in any given week (such as anxiety and depression) but only 1 in 8 adults are currently receiving treatment.

With the growing awareness around mental health however, organisations are wanting to do more to support their employees who suffer from the challenges surrounding mental health issues. Unlike other conditions mental health often goes unnoticed and is not openly disclosed due to the negative attitudes and stereotypes historically associated with mental illness. Raising awareness in the workplace about mental health enables employees to speak up and access help and support.

Pendragon plc in collaboration with the East Midlands HR Network, are hosting an event focusing on mental health. The event will cover the challenges surrounding the identification of symptoms, negative attitudes, stereotypes and stigma historically associated with mental illness, and what support can be offered to employees.

Along with members of the team from Pendragon plc, our guest speaker, Cathy Lawson, a mental health first aider and wellbeing consultant, will be opening the event with facilitated discussion sessions to follow.

The event is FREE and kindly hosted by Pendragon plc. but with limited places available - so book your place now!
