​Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 February Networking Meeting!

The February breakfast meeting is hosting a speed networking session from 7.15am – 7.30am giving you the opportunity to promote your services to all attendees. From 7.30am you will enjoy informal networking at a strategically planned and organised table where you can enjoy a full English breakfast with a table host to help the networking process.

Professor Bob Berry’s characteristic dry humour and ability to translate even the most complex of finance themes into plain English has earned him a loyal audience. This year our Boots Professor of Accounting and Finance takes on the topic of sustainable finance.

​It's 80s disco time to help Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 member!

If you love your 80s music, then a charity disco night will be right up your street.

The Civic Quarter, part of Mansfield Civic Centre, in Chesterfield Road South, is hosting a special 80s night on Friday, February 24th. Doors open at 7.30pm and for this event there is a £5 entry fee.

18 months ago Mansfield and Ashfield 2020 founded along with 5 local business leaders the ‘MakeIT 2020’ forum that successfully provides a platform for manufacturing, construction and engineering sectors to host highly engaging business partnerships, mentoring opportunities, and educational support for young people.

The Evolve Trust is a Multi Academy Trust based in Mansfield and we currently have three academies in the Trust – Brunts (secondary), Beech (special) and Bramble (primary). The Trust is passionate about creating opportunities for all of our students to believe in themselves, achieve their potential and develop the skills needed to succeed and enjoy life. We have a very positive working relationship with the business community who support many fantastic careers and employability programmes which have a real impact on the life chances of our students. As a patron of M & A 2020, we need to ensure that relationship is more mutually beneficial.

​Mansfield Firm Celebrates Loyalty and Growth

This week (23rd January 2017) Kingfisher Lighting, Mansfield, celebrated the loyalty of two of their colleagues. Chairman John Harding and his wife Barbara presented Richard Holmes and Darren Fletcher with an award in recognition of their commitment and hard work for over 10 years. This celebration also saw the official announcement of the retirement of Business Development Director, Stewart Weaver who has been with the business for over 12 years. (Pictured below)

The deal will see the Mansfield based firm sponsoring several events, with extensive Hall-Fast branding throughout the club, Hall-Fast will also be the main 1st team shirt sponsor and a junior team sponsor each season.

​New Trade Essentials & DIY Store Opens in Mansfield

Industrial supplies firm Hall-Fast has opened its doors to the general public for the first time as it aims to take a slice of the local home improvement and DIY sector.

The store situated on Anglia Way in Mansfield stocks 1,400 trade and DIY items, including ironmongery, plumbing, decorating, electrical and gardening essentials in a revamped offering to complement its existing range of high quality personal protective equipment and workwear from leading brands like Snickers, Dickies, and Helly Hansen.
